這套書所用的英文詞彙相當顯淺，每一頁的句子很短，而且每一頁的文字和圖畫相關性很強，若幼小的子女不懂得每個英文字的意思，他們也可以猜測故事內容。現在以故事 “Noah and the Ark” 的部份頁數為例：

頁6：A long time ago, people were very mean to each other.  They forgot about God.
